Job summary

Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, OH is seeking an RN Float for nights, part-time, to provide direct and indirect patient care across age groups using the nursing process.

Responsibilities include developing and evaluating a nursing care plan, exercising critical thinking to ensure safe, high-quality, age-appropriate care, delegating to team members, documenting accurately and timely, and collaborating with the healthcare team while adhering to policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education; BSN preferred.
• Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.
• Current EKG Competency and ACLS required. PALS required within 6 months of hire.

RN Float - Nights - Nursing Operations- Part-Time

• Delivers direct/indirect patient care to patients of all ages from neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult to geriatric utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment; implementation and prioritization of patient’s problems and needs
• Development/implementation/evaluation of a nursing plan of care.
• Demonstrates critical thinking to assure the delivery of safe, quality, age specific care.
• Delegates effectively to appropriate team members. Documents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members.
• Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; regulatory accrediting body requirements; and professional practice standards.

Requirements Include

• Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education, BSN preferred.
