Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Frisco, TX seeks an RN Float to coordinate patient care across ED and ICU, primarily ED. This PRN day shift role requires flexible orientation and commitment to quality care.

You will develop care plans, delegate tasks, and communicate with patients and staff to ensure safe, effective care delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program or have two years of relevant work experience.
• Nursing is the main area of study in your education.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience required.
• You must be a registered nurse with current licensure.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care across ED and ICU as an RN Float.
• Develop and adjust nursing care plans to meet patient needs.
• Delegate tasks to team members based on guidelines and patient condition.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and safety.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.

Location: Baylor Centennial - Frisco, TX

Shift: PRN Days

Unit: ED and ICU - primarily ED

PRN Requirements: 6 shifts every 6 weeks, plus one minor and one major holiday per year. Must be able to attend orientation for 1 week during day hours if hired.
