Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Float Registered Nurse for the In-Patient Float Pool to cover MCC and MMH campuses when staff are off. You will apply the nursing process to plan and deliver care to cancer patients, with emphasis on education, discharge planning, and family-centered support.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN, have 2+ years ICU and oncology experience, and possess Florida RN licensure or multi-state privileges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing required.
• In lieu of Bachelor's, an Associate's degree in Nursing plus 1 year of relevant experience may be considered.
• 2+ years in ICU setting required.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Florida or multi-state privilege with FL as primary state.

• Incorporates patient and family centered care and quality caring into practice.

Biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational and discharge planning needs are addressed in all steps of the nursing process. This is demonstrated in base-line and comparative documentation, entered in a timely manner, and with evidence of age-appropriate consideration when care is planned, delivered, and evaluated.The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have experience as a registered nurse in the following:2 year+ in ICU settingAcute care experience.Oncology experience.Responsibilities:Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families.
