Job summary

Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, Ohio, is seeking a full-time RN Float/Clinical Supervisor for night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). The role involves floating departments as needed and providing supervision during shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support patient care and operations.

Qualified candidates will have an ADN (BSN preferred), Ohio RN licensure, 3–5 years of healthcare experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications or the ability to obtain them.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• BSN preferred.
• Valid State of Ohio Licensure required.
• 3-5 years of healthcare/medical experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required or obtainable during orientation.
• NIMS and NIHSS certifications required or obtainable within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, effective, age-appropriate patient care using the nursing process.
• Oversee hospital operations and patient care during the absence of Administration.
• Move throughout the facility to assist in emergencies and drills.
• Coordinate patient care, assess information, and interpret data.
• Direct staff and support patient care.
• Communicate with unit staff, physicians, and families.

We are looking for a full-time RN Float/Clinical Supervisor to join our team.

Working hours for this position are 7:00PM - 7:00AM.

The RN Float/Clinical Supervisor will float departments as needed and will need to be available for weekends and holidays in supervision.

Position Summary:

The RN Float/Clinical Supervisor will demonstrate a support of the hospital's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan in a team-oriented environment. The RN Float/Clinical Supervisor will perform all job duties in compliance with laws, regulations, and in observance of accrediting agency standards and related professional organization standards.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe, timely, effective, quality, age appropriate, cost conscious, evidence-based care while utilizing the nursing process and holistic patient care.


• Utilize critical thinking skills while overseeing overall hospital operations and patient care during the absence of Administration.


• Move throughout the facility as needed, appropriately assisting in emergency drills and situations.


• Coordinate patient care as assigned, which includes assessing and interpreting patient care information and data.


• Effective direct staff and support patient care.


• Communicate appropriately with unit staff, physicians, ancillary departments, and families.

Education & Experience:

• ADN required.


• BSN preferred.


• Valid State of Ohio Licensure required.


• 3-5 years of healthcare/medical experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.


• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required and may be obtained during the orientation period.


• NIMS and NIHSS certifications are required and may be obtained within the first year.
