Job summary

Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, OH is seeking a part-time LPN or Medical Assistant to float across PMG offices. The role supports patient care, performs vitals, charting, administered meds, collects specimens, and educates patients within a team-based clinic environment.

Working hours typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some days ending at 6:00 PM. Qualified candidates will have either an Accredited Practical Nursing Program or Medical Assistant Program completion, Ohio LPN license or MA

Qualifications

• Completion of an Accredited Practical Nursing Program or Medical Assistant Program - Required
• Valid State of Ohio LPN Licensure or MA Certificate - Required
• BLS Certification - Required (may be obtained during orientation)
• 1-3 Years of Experience in a Healthcare/Medical setting - Preferred

Responsibilities

• Move throughout the facility and provide direct patient care as needed.
• Perform nursing duties under physician/provider/RN direction.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Handle clerical/administrative tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with unit staff, physicians/providers and ancillary departments.
• Maintain high standards for professional nursing practice.

We are looking for a part-time LPN or Medical Assistant - Floatto join our team. Working hours for this position are between 8:00AM-4:30PM and occasionally until 6:00PM.

Position Summary:

The LPN/Medical Assistant will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe, timely, effective, quality, age appropriate, culture appropriate, cost conscious, evidenced based care while utilizing the nursing process and holistic patient care. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting and obtaining patient vitals, charting, assessments, ordering tests, administering medications, drawing blood, EKG's, giving vaccinations, educating patients and calling in prescriptions. The LPN/Medical Assistant will utilize the nursing process to provide nursing care on an individualized basis according to organizational policies and procedures. As nurses, we will provide clinical leadership for patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Moves throughout the facility as needed, appropriately assists in emergency drills and situations, and demonstrates the physical, clinical, and professional capacity to provide direct patient care as described in the tasks and duties of this position.
• Performs nursing duties within the appropriate scope of practice under the direction of the physician/provider/RN.
• Provides appropriate patient and family education.
• Performs clerical/administrative tasks and duties as needed.
• Works cooperatively with unit staff, physicians/providers and ancillary departments.
• Maintains high standards for professional nursing practice.
• Performs all tasks and duties of this position according to department policy and procedure.

Education & Experience:

• Completion of an Accredited Practical Nursing Program or Medical Assistant Program - Required
