Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a registered nurse in Wisconsin to provide patient care, administer medications, and assist providers during treatments. The role includes performing EKGs and basic lab work, collecting blood samples, and educating patients and families.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient flow, documenting care, responding to calls, triaging triage over the phone, and participating in quality improvement activities. Some shifts and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN or enrollment in BSN completion upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Rooms and collects patient assessment data.
• Administers injections and medications.
• Assists provider during treatment, testing, and examinations.
• Performs EKGs, simple lab tests, and venous blood collection.
• Maintains timely flow of patients.
• Provides patient and family education.
• Documents patient care and related information.
• Responds to incoming phone calls and conducts telephone triage.
• Reviews and maintains charts.
• Participates in Quality and Performance Improvement.
• May work alternate shifts and weekends.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
