Job summary

Essentia Health in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Unit. You will lead comprehensive patient care across assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation and collaborate with a skilled nursing team.

The role supports neurological, respiratory, and general medical patients with rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights), every third weekend. A MN RN license and BCLS within 1 month are required; this 0.75 FTE position offers

Qualifications

• Current nursing licensure in the state of employment.
• BCLS certification within one month.
• Active RN license in Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient care by managing all phases of the patient care process: assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Guide and delegate care responsibilities to nursing staff based on licensure, training, and role specifications.
• Contribute to the facility’s and Essentia’s mission, making a meaningful community impact.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other relevant regulatory standards.
