Job summary

Best Home Health Providers is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse in California to support home health patients across the Bay Area and beyond. You will review OASIS, code with ICD-10, and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes independent work, attention to detail, and ongoing professional development, with a per-visit pay rate between $110 and $130.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license in good standing.
• 1–2 years of clinical home health experience.
• Working knowledge of OASIS assessments.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding.
• Familiarity with federal regulations and state licensure.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with computer systems and EHRs.
• Current CPR certification (AHA).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Review OASIS assessments for completeness and compliance.
• Ensure accurate ICD-10 coding and sequencing.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve data issues.
• Monitor visit utilization and flag financial risks.
• Identify trends impacting agency outcomes.
• Conduct OASIS inter-rater reliability visits.
• Participate in Quality Improvement and Compliance activities.
• Pursue ongoing education and development.
• Perform other duties as required for patient services.
