Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Assists physicians in surgery and may perform specific significant surgical tasks under professional supervision.
  • Surgical tasks include, but are not limited to, opening and closing surgical sites, exposure of the surgical site, harvesting grafts, dissecting tissue, removing tissue, implanting devices, and altering tissues.
  • Under professional supervision, the RNFA performs tasks such as applying and removing splints and/or casts, placing Foley catheters, IVs, arterial lines, administering local anesthesia, and other procedures as requested.

Applicants Must Have

  • Current RN license in the State of Ohio
  • Minimum of 24 months RN experience in an OR
  • Successful completion of an approved RNFA course
  • Current BLS certification
  • ACLS, NRP, and PALS as determined by unit scope of practice

Preferred Qualifications

  • Achievement of CNOR certification, CRNA preferred
