Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree or equivalent leadership certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing leadership or supervisory role, preferably in home healthcare or a similar care setting.
  • Experience in Pediatrics.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal healthcare regulations (e.g., CMS, IDPH, HIPAA).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate clinical teams.
  • CPR and other relevant clinical certifications required.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all nursing personnel and clinical operations across the agency.
  • Receive and assess new client referrals, assigning responsibilities to appropriate nursing or intake staff.
  • Develop and execute short-term and long-term strategic goals for the nursing department.
  • Establish, review, and update nursing policies and procedures in accordance with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee admission processes, client care planning, and delivery of in-home nursing services.
  • Address escalated concerns from intake coordinators, nursing supervisors, or field staff promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, therapists, intake, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and effective care model.
  • Maintain departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure appropriate resource allocation.
  • Ensure all medical records and documentation are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and continuous education of nursing staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide mentorship to ensure a high performing team.
  • Monitor and implement updates to healthcare laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting nursing care.
  • Represent the nursing department in internal meetings, audits, and external inspections.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Nurse Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all nursing operations within the

organization, with a primary focus on delivering high-quality, compliant, and

compassionate client care. This leadership role requires strong clinical acumen,

strategic planning skills, and a collaborative approach to managing nursing personnel,
