Job summary

Carle Health in Urbana, IL seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for a Family Practice role. This full-time position follows a Monday–Friday 8a–5p schedule with no weekend requirements.

The RN will work within the Ambulatory setting, supporting providers, coordinating care, and educating patients to improve health outcomes. The ideal candidate holds an Illinois RN license, BLS, and has experience in outpatient/family practice settings.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in family practice nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families.
• Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
• Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.
• Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
• Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students.
• Provides leadership for initiatives to improve quality of care or clinical outcomes.
• Assists Nursing Supervisor in developing departmental standing orders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Assist provider with procedures.
• Maintain PAR levels for supplies and medications.
• Triage incoming patient calls/messages.
• Provide patient education through nurse visits, annual wellness checks, and chronic disease follow-up.
• Obtain prior authorizations for visits, medications, and referrals.
• Assist with team huddles and scheduling.

Overview

The Ambulatory Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

Salary Range

The compensation range for this position is $30.39per hour - $52.27per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
