Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Regional Float Pool in Wilmington, NC. The position covers a night shift from 7pm to 7am, part-time, working across several units as needed to meet patient care requirements.

Ideal candidates have a BSN or higher, with 2+ years in critical care or 1+ year in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry, plus state RN licensure. Additional certifications are preferred and encouraged.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in appropriate state (compact licensure preferred).
• Cardiac dysrhythmia knowledge or course completion within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in critical care or ED settings required for relevant teams.

What You'll Do

Registered Nurses Float Pool are responsible for providing continuous quality patient care in a variety of settings. The Float Pool RN is part of a resource team that is assigned to varying units during their shift to ensure that patient care needs are met. These RNs possess the skills, competency and qualifications, as well as a requirement to work in several different clinical areas. This group shall be known as the Float Pool and support our critical care floors.

What We're Looking For

• Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. BSN preferred.
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Experience:
  • Team 1 (Specialty/CCU): Min 2 yrs in critical care or ED setting. Team 2 (Inpatient Acute) - Min 1 yr general Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience, required.
  • Team 3 (Women's Svcs): Min 2 yrs in L&D, Post-partum, or NICU. All Teams require Cardiac Dysrhythmia test or successfully complete the Cardiac Dysrhythmia course within 6 months of hire. required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current compact RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred):
  • Specialty Certification, Chemo Certification, Non Violent Crisis Intervention, Triage Course, NRP.
