Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Nurse Extern to assist in caring for hospitalized patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role may be cross-trained to serve as a Unit Secretary depending on unit needs.

Educational requirements include completion of the first semester of an accredited ADN or BSN program; ongoing enrollment with up to 12 months to pass NCLEX after graduation. AHA BLS Certification is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of first semester of an accredited ADN or BSN program. Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN or BSN program. Has 12 months to pass NCLEX after graduating
• Experience: Completion of first semester of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Licenses/Certificates: AHA BLS Certification

The care is rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs other duties related to the work described herein.
