Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Nurse Extern to perform routine duties under supervision of an RN in the hospital. The role may be cross-trained as a Unit Secretary depending on unit needs. The care is delivered under RN supervision.

Education: completion of first semester of an accredited ADN/BSN program; current enrollment in an accredited ADN/BSN program. This is a PRN, 8-hour shift position at FLO - OR - Main Surgery, with hourly pay and MUHA-approved terms.

Qualifications

• Completion of first semester of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN or BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine duties caring for hospitalized patients under supervision.
• May be cross-trained to serve as Unit Secretary as needed.
• Care is rendered under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
