Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines, within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a GA RN license in good standing.

BLS certification is required; BSN preferred and ACLS/PALS/NRP or other certifications are welcome. Color vision may be required for some units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• BLS certification as required by job.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years RN experience preferred.
• Additional Life Support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical certifications.
• Color vision acuity as applicable to unit.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and guidelines.
• Comply with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and scope of practice.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
