Job summary

Suncoast Hospice, part of Empath Health, seeks a caring RN for evening/weekend shifts (Sat and Sun, 10a–10p) to support terminally ill patients in Pinellas County.

The role requires an Florida RN license, CPR certification, and at least one year of related experience, with a focus on compassionate, comprehensive end-of-life care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Minimum of one year related experience and/or training.
• Valid Florida RN license.
• Valid Florida State Driver's License.
• CPR certification from ARC or AHA.
• Prefer one year experience in acute or post-acute care setting.
• Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Under physician's orders, identify and coordinate patient/family needs and provide preventative and supportive care to the terminally ill patient/family unit.
• Use assessment, intervention and teaching skills to maximize comfort and quality of life for the patient/family unit.

Suncoast Hospice, a part of Empath Health is seeking a caring and motivated is seeking a RN - Evening/Weekend Care to join the Empath team. Shift: Saturday and Sunday 10a-10p. Coverage area is Pinellas County.

What You'll Do

• Under physician's orders, the nurse is responsible for identifying and coordinating patient/family needs and for providing preventative and supportive care to the terminally ill patient/family unit.
• Utilizes assessment, intervention and teaching skills to maximize patient comfort and to enhance the quality of life to the patient/family unit.

What You'll Need

• Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensure:
• Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid Florida State Driver's License
• Continuing education: As required for licensure
• Certifications:
• Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Prefer one (1) year experience in an acute or post acute care setting
• Preferred experience caring for terminal patients and others with life threatening illnesses.
• For field-based positions, employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance, a copy of which will be placed in the employee’s HR file.
