Job summary

Wallowa Memorial Hospital seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our patient care team, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care at every stage of treatment. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring progress, coordinating with physicians, educating patients and families, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Current Oregon RN license required.
  • BLS/CPR certification required or ability to attain upon hire.
  • ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • ER and/or OB experience preferred, with orientation to both departments.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing patient conditions and creating individualized care plans.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitoring and documenting patient responses and progress.
  • Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Educating patients and families on care plans, treatments and recovery.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Responding promptly to emergencies and changes in patient condition.
  • Supporting a culture of teamwork, compassion and clinical excellence.
