Job summary

Join as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at a busy hospital in Tacoma, WA. This 13-week contract offers up to 36 hours per week, primarily working 12-hour mid-shifts that may transition to evening hours. You’ll be providing care for a diverse patient population, including general ED complaints like chest pain, SOB, geriatrics, and occasional L&D cases. Expect a fast-paced environment with patient ratios around 1:4 for RNs, and support from a dedicated team including PCTs, ED doctors, hospitalists, and tech staff. Utilizing EPIC electronic medical records and modern equipment like Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing, you’ll perform general ED skills and participate in ongoing orientation before working independently. This assignment is suited for experienced ED nurses with at least 2 years of recent clinical practice and active licensure, seeking a rewarding and challenging temporary role.
