Description:This position is for a registered nurse specializing in the emergency room.The unit averages approximately 120 patients per day.The unit is staffed with a mix of RN's and support staff.Typical patient ratios are 1:4 for RN's.Security is available but not designated to the emergency department.Nurses will work every other weekend and may work holidays as needed.Scrub color is navy blue or white, with specific requirements for jackets and undershirts.The facility utilizes various advanced medical equipment including multiple types of ventilators.Lab draws and pharmacy services are available 24/7.Nurses may work flexible schedules, with block scheduling available if it meets unit needs.Common patient diagnoses include MVCs, strokes, and other acute medical conditions.The facility has capabilities for trauma care and stabilization, with necessary transfers as appropriate.Cancellation policy allows the client to cancel shifts under specific conditions.Charting is performed using the EPIC system.
