Job summary

Cynet Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room on a 13-week night assignment in Kansas. The role requires a minimum of 2 years ER experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS, and ability to float within a designated zone.

You will monitor roughly 30 patients per day with a nurse-patient ratio of 1:4-5, and read telemetry to evaluate patient status. Phlebotomy support, 24/7 respiratory therapy, and collaboration with techs for triage and patient care are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications are required.
• Must be able to read telemetry strips and interpret EKGs.
• Ability to float within designated zone and manage multiple priorities.

Description:Registered Nurse needed for Emergency Room.The position requires the nurse to float within the designated zone as needed.The average patient load is approximately 30 patients per day.The nurse-patient ratio is 1:4-5 based on patient acuity.Common patient diagnoses include abdominal pain, diabetes mellitus, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension.The Emergency Department is a non-trauma facility, approved as an Accredited Chest Pain Center and a Stroke facility.Phlebotomy will support point-of-care lab testing.Nurses will be responsible for reading telemetry strips as no monitor technicians are present.Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7 to perform breathing treatments and arterial blood gases.The nurse will collaborate with techs who assist with unit secretary work, triage, and patient care.Shifts are 12 hours, and requirements include every other weekend and holiday.The leadership will establish the schedule based on departmental needs.Travelers are expected to manage their housing within a 60-mile radius of the designated zone.
