Scope of Work

As a Clinical Nurse at Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. You will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process framework and incorporating patient-family-centered care principles to ensure the highest quality of care. Under the guidance of the Nurse Leader, you will be a vital member of our team, making a meaningful difference in patients' and families' lives.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited nursing school or ACEN-accredited Diploma program.
• Required Bachelor's Degree (B.S.N., M.S.N., DNP/PhD). If not BSN-prepared, new graduates or nurses with less than one year of experience must sign an educational contract upon hire to complete their BSN within a specified timeframe. RN must enroll in an accredited BSN program within one year of licensure and complete it within five years. (Effective April 18, 2023)

• Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience. EP Lab experience preferred.
• External candidates need at least 2 years of related acute care experience and must pass a competency assessment. Internal candidates with less than 2 years must be approved by their current nurse leader and remain a unit-based PRN until they reach 2 years of experience.

• Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) in Michigan upon hire.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or ARC upon hire; other certifications from the preferred list; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 180 days for specific units.
