Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a full-time RN for self-scheduling night shifts in Med Surg Telemetry. The role supports staffing needs across multiple hospitals with no mid-shift floating.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years' experience in telemetry nursing, a current RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. This position offers a flexible schedule, and the expected pay ranges from $40.48 to $61.74 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in telemetry monitoring in acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care through sound procedures.

• Monitor patient condition and effectiveness of care.

Our Enterprise RN Staffing Resource Self‑Scheduling – FT Nights – Med Surg Telemetry position offers a flexible 36‑hour work week (three 12‑hour shifts) with limited weekend shifts and no holiday shifts. The role supports Med Surg staffing needs at multiple hospitals, with no mid‑shift floating between facilities.

Ideal Candidate

• Desires a flexible self‑scheduling position working/learning at different hospitals (only one hospital per shift)
• Minimum of four years recent RN experience working in Medical Surgical Telemetry

Job Responsibilities

• Provide general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through the application of sound procedures and practices.
• Perform accurate and complete admission assessments within defined time frames.
• Assess and document patient pain levels utilizing appropriate protocols.
• Prioritize and document patient problems based on assessed needs/problems in collaboration with the patient, family, and health‑care team.
• Monitor and document patient condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care and/or interventions.
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
• Delegate appropriate components of the nursing care plan to other members of the nursing team.
• Plan delivery of patient care in collaboration with other disciplines that promotes wellness and facilitates the discharge process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

• Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) certification required.

Work Experience

• Minimum four years recent acute care experience in areas utilizing telemetry monitoring such as cardiac, step‑down, medical/surgical telemetry units, concentrated care units.

Physical Requirements

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $40.48

Maximum hourly: $61.74

The pay range displayed on this posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Compensation will be determined after considering factors such as work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range does not include shift differentials, overtime or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (health, dental, vision, retirement contributions).
