LCMC Health in New Orleans seeks an experienced Endoscopy Nurse to support patient care before, during, and after GI procedures. You educate patients about the procedure and work with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
A Louisiana RN license is required along with BLS and ACLS certifications. Typical shifts are days with on-call as needed, emphasizing safety and compassionate care for every patient.
Your job is more than a job. No one makes it happen like you. As an endoscopy nurse you’re all over patient care before, during, and after the procedure like “gravy on rice.” You educate your patients about the procedure because you’ve developed a specialized knowledge about gastrointestinal disorders and an expertise in a variety of diagnostic procedures used to diagnose digestive health issues. With a Monday through Friday schedule, you understand “on call” is a necessary part of the job and that’s okay with you. It’s a fast-paced environment where you manage multiple patients during your shift and, should complications arise, you handle them with confidence and compassion like the pro that you are. When your patients leave with the answers to their health questions, you love the reward that comes with teamwork and successful outcomes. And that’s what we love about you. Your experiences, knowledge, skills, empathy, compassion, and your “little something extra” all add up to you. And we’re excited to get to know you and find out what you’ll bring to this team-oriented nursing role.
