Job summary

Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art health system in Georgia seeking a Registered Professional Nurse. The RN independently plans and provides nursing care per physician orders and established guidelines, in line with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Required: GA RN license in good standing and BLS. Preferred: BSN, ACLS/PALS/NRP or other unit-specific certifications, with color vision as needed for certain units.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing.
• BLS certification required by the American Heart Association.
• BSN degree is preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP or other unit-specific certifications are preferred.
• Color vision may be required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Adhere to Georgia Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Independently assess and plan patient care in collaboration with the health care team.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
