Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide skilled nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.

The RN must hold a Georgia RN license in good standing and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with BSN preferred and ACLS/PALS/NRP or other certifications encouraged for specialty units. Work hours are 6:30 AM to 5 PM. No on-call or weekend requirements noted.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in Georgia in good standing.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Complies with Georgia Nurse Practice Act scope of practice.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
