Job summary

United Surgical Partners International is seeking an Emergency Room Nurse to provide evaluation and care for ED patients. Responsibilities include triage, initial assessment, and communicating patient status to the ED physician to facilitate timely orders and procedures.

The ideal candidate is a Texas-licensed RN with BLS and ACLS/PALS preferred, capable of prioritizing care and maintaining clear, concise communication with the team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Texas RN license current.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and care for emergency room patients, including triage and initial assessment.

Job description

The Emergency Room Nurse will be responsible for evaluation and care of emergency room patients. This will include triage of patient, initial assessment, notification of ED physician of patient arrival and condition. Implementing physician orders and assisting the ED physician with any procedures as needed

Required Skills:

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.

• At least 5 years experience as a RN in hospital Emergency Room preferred.


• RN, current in the State of Texas


• BLS


• Current ACLS / PALS preferred or included in education plan


• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.


• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.


• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
