Job summary

Medasource is seeking a Travel RN for the ED at Wesley West FSED in Wichita, KS. This 52-bed ER operates with high patient turnover and uses Meditech for charting. The assignment requires a minimum of 1 year of current hospital ED experience, BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS and TNCC certifications, and a CPI Blue Card.

• Number of Beds – 52
• Number of Staff – 134
• Type of staff:
• Day Shift – 1 charge, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician and 1 midlevel per pod
• Night Shift – 1 charge, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician and 1 midlevel per pod
• Patient Ratios – 3:1 average, low acuity 5:1, Peds – team nursing – Estimated ratios, not guaranteed
• Type of equipment – Alaris
• EMR -Meditech

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have

candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Minimum 1-year current hospital ED experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS & TNCC
• CPI Blue card

Preferred or nice to have

candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Experience in traveling or experience at large facility areas
• Meditech experience
• Been to a 52 bed ER or larger
• Good grasp on patient experience
