This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. Effectively delegates, directs, and assists licensed and ancillary team members. Assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes, exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions, and maintains involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and department’s strategic goals and objectives. Demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for own practice and supports the company's philosophy of nursing.
Education
Required - Registered nurse diploma.
Preferred - Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
Work Experience
Required - None.
Certifications
Required - Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
CPI Certification within 30 days of hire.
ACLS within 90 days of hire.
PALS within 90 days of hire.
Preferred - Certification in a clinical specialty area.
