Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Georgia is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Registered Nurse for night shifts (7pm–7am) two nights per week. The role requires delivering bedside nursing care across the patient lifecycle using the nursing process.

The staff nurse collaborates within hospital policies, maintains standards of practice, and coordinates care for all assigned patients. Education and licensure requirements include Georgia RN license and BCLS; a nursing degree is expected

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• RN Georgia licensure and Basic Life Support (BCLS) are required.

Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
