Job Summary and Qualifications

The RN provides high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with department needs and standards. Collaborating with providers and the care team, the RN offers individualized, compassionate care using models like "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." The RN advocates for patients and models organizational values to ensure excellent patient experiences and outcomes.

• Regularly assesses and manages patient pain, including reassessment after interventions.
• Performs procedures and documentation as ordered by medical providers.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs.
• Educates patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up care, translating medical terminology as needed.
• Prepares patients for self-management post-discharge, including lifestyle and disease prevention education.

Qualifications Needed

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 18 months.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 18 months.
• RN license and Bachelor's Degree.
