The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine, surgery, and a wide variety of specialties. Staffed by a talented team of professionals, we care for patients from birth through the end of life.
We operate a 47-bed community-based Emergency Room serving approximately 80,000 to 85,000 patients annually with diverse complaints and illnesses. Our Emergency Department is known for efficient, collaborative, patient-centric care, and we focus on continuous improvements in patient and staff satisfaction. If you are compassionate, organized, calm under pressure, patient, and possess strong critical thinking and communication skills, we want to hear from you.
Our nurses work within collaborative, interdisciplinary teams focused on patient-centered care in a diverse environment. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence-based practices according to the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and medical staff directives. The nurse develops a care plan using the nursing process to address the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and families.
