Status: Part Time

Baptist Health is looking for an energetic & qualified candidate to join our family as a Staff RN in our LaGrange Emergency Department. We offer a competitive salary and an attractive benefits package, available to new hires within 30 days.

Job Summary:

A registered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient/resident (from infancy to geriatrics, depending on scope of care) assigned to their care.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The following summarizes the major functions of this role. Additional duties may be performed, and specific functions may change over time:

  1. Assess patient/resident clinical status
  2. Develop a plan of care
  3. Implement and oversee the nursing care plan
  4. Evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan
  5. Communicate and validate patient care information
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience:
  • Active Kentucky RN License required
  • BCLS certification required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • ACLS & PALS certification required

BSN is required unless:

  • Individuals hired as a Staff RN prior to October 1, 2013, are grandfathered and exempt.
  • Individuals employed by the system before October 1, 2013, can be hired as a new graduate nurse without a BSN if they enroll within one year of transfer and complete their BSN within five years.
  • Experienced RNs hired after October 1, 2013, without a BSN may be hired with CNO or Vice President approval if they enroll in a BSN program within one year and complete it within five years.
