Job Summary

This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. It involves delegating, directing, and assisting team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes, respecting diversity, and supporting strategic goals. Demonstrates professional responsibility and supports the company's nursing philosophy.

Minimum Requirements
Education
  • Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Work Experience
  • Required: None.
Certifications
  • Required: Current RN license, BLS certification, CPI certification within 30 days, ACLS and PALS within 90 days.
  • Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency with computers and software.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good judgment and self-direction.
Job Duties
  • Utilize the nursing process for patient care.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of laws and standards, compliance, and safety protocols.

Physical and Environmental Demands

Heavy exertion, exposure to blood and body fluids, working directly with patients, and occupational risks for exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials.
