Job summary

AdventHealth in Littleton, CO is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the ED to provide comprehensive patient assessments and evidence-based care. The role involves developing care plans, administering medications, and educating patients and families.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care. The ideal candidate has an RN license, 1+ year ED experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• BNAC or RN with licensure to practice in Colorado preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be preferred for ED.
• Strong organization, teamwork, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.

Job Description

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions. Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance. Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
