Job Purpose or Mission
To improve the quality of life of patients and families by coordinating patient care processes of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with the patient, family, physician, and support services for the age population served, as defined in the department's scope of service.

Essential Job Functions
- Coordinates patient assessment, including data collection, prioritization, and documentation.
- Performs comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments, involving patients and families.
- Identifies and coordinates further assessments and interventions, developing and updating the plan of care.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver care, ensure timely treatments, and educate patients and families.
- Reassesses patient progress, revises care plans, and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
- Performs triage assessments and manages patients receiving procedural sedation proficiently.
Experience and Educational Requirements
- 1 Year Nursing Experience Preferred
- Relevant courses and certifications such as ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, NRP, and specialized pediatric courses, with specified time frames for completion.
Skills, License, and Knowledge
- Current Louisiana RN licensure
- CEN Certification encouraged/preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA, safety protocols, and clinical practices as outlined.
