Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Northampton, MA is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will perform nursing assessments, coordinate care, triage patients, and deliver discharge instructions.

Required are an active Massachusetts RN license, BLS, ACLS within 3 months, de-escalation training within 60 days, and PALS/ENPC within 6 months. Bachelor's in Nursing preferred and prior CCU/ED experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Critical Care RN and/or Emergency RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery.
• Triage patients according to care requirements.
• Provide ongoing assessment of patients' conditions and immediate interventions.
• Conduct discharge teaching for patients.

About This Role

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department is responsible for delivering patient care through assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
