Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority in Madison, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department (ED) at East Madison Hospital. This 90% FTE role includes 8/12 hour evening and night shifts, with weekend rotation, and may require hours vary by patient care needs.

You will work in a Level IV ED, applying clinical expertise in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and staff to deliver compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages.

Qualifications

  • RN experience in fast-paced emergency settings preferred.
  • ICU/CCU/ED experience with adults or pediatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Care for patients in a Level IV ED.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses and support staff to deliver emergency care.
  • Assess, plan, intervene and document patient care in a high-acuity environment.

RN - Emergency Department (Finance)

90% FTE, 8/12 hour evening/night shifts between the hours of 3:00pm - 7:30am including a weekend rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI.

Pay:

Additional components of compensation may include:

  • Shift differentials: $4/hour evening, $5/hour night and $4.25/hour weekend differential as applicable for hours worked
  • Overtime

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
Work Experience
  • 6 months of RN experience Required
  • 1 year of ICU, Critical Care, or Emergency Department experience with adult and/or pediatric populations Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
  • CPR certification Upon Hire Required
  • ACLS within 6 months Required
  • PALS within 6 months Required
  • TNCC Preferred
  • ENPC Preferred
