Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, you will oversee patient care using a professional practice model, including assessment, care planning, and response evaluation. You will also assist with patient transportation, understand healthcare needs, and follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act, delegating tasks appropriately.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize needs, and develop care plans.
  • Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families, managing discomfort professionally.
  • Create care plans reflecting patient values and needs.
  • Educate patients, families, and staff, assessing learning needs and documenting progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and community partners, delegate tasks, and follow up.
  • Use problem-solving strategies, recognize limitations, and ensure safety and effectiveness.
  • Work as part of a team, contribute to peers’ development, and demonstrate community service commitment.

  • Strong knowledge of nursing standards, procedures, and laws.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and medication management.
