Job summary

Dignity Health in California is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high‑quality care that supports patient recovery. You will perform assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast‑paced environment.

Requirements include an Associate of Arts in Nursing and CA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC within defined timeframes. A BSN and advanced track in ED/ICU are preferred.

Qualifications

  • CA RN licensure required at hire.

  • Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data: follows the written plan of care, standards, practice guidelines, utilizes pathways, which includes notifying physicians as appropriate
  • Formulates a plan of care for individual needs, including patient population needs. Participates in the planning of routine transitional health care needs (i.e. treatment options, patient placement options)
  • Adapts planned educational programs and information to individual patients and family by modifying teaching strategies or content. Integrates education during the delivery of patient care
  • Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care to determine immediate priorities and to offer solutions for problems. Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience
  • Follows unit specific safety regulations and guidelines
  • Actively advocates for patient rights and identifies potential conflict. Seeks counsel for resolution of conflict
Job Requirements
Required
  • Associate Of Arts Nursing and 2 years of consecutive recent (within the last 5 years) ED and/or ICU experience, upon hire
  • Will train when operational considerations allow
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 months
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 6 months
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 months
Preferred
  • Bachelors Of Science Nursing, upon hire
  • Critical RN Adult/Neonatal/Pediatric/Acute, upon hire
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, upon hire
  • Mobile Intensive Care Nurse, upon hire
Pay Range

$54.43 - $73.98 /hour
