Job summary

Southcoast Health's Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River seeks an experienced RN for the Emergency Department. This 36‑hour position covers evenings and nights (3:00 pm–3:00 am) with weekend and holiday rotations in a 35‑bed ED and eight behavioral beds, serving about 60,000 patients per year.

The role focuses on coordinating nursing care, patient and family teaching, and leadership within a collaborative team; MA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS/PALS, and vaccination compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• RN experience is preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NIH required prior to orientation.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or exempt with a signed statement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients under direction of the Manager or designee.
• Participate in patient and family teaching and provide leadership with the patient care team.
• Ensure care is appropriate to the age group served.

We are searching for an EXPERIENCED RN for the Emergency Department

• $5,000 New Hire Sign On with 2+ years of RN Emergency Department experience. Rehires Termed greater than 1 year are eligible*

Hours: 36hrs

Shift: Evening/Night, 3:00pm - 3:00am with weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services or designee of individual assigned unit, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• RN experience is preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NIH required prior to the completion of orientation
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $42.37 - USD $77.81 /Hr.
