Saint Joseph Berea, part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality care and comprehensive patient management in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will perform assessments, administer treatments, coordinate discharge planning, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes while upholding ethical care standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Registered Nurse in Kentucky (KY).
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) within 14 days.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months.
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months.
  • Preferred: Neonatal Resuscitation Program upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire and expand knowledge for patient care in the identified setting.
  • Perform assessments and analyze patient conditions using critical thinking to determine interventions.
  • Implement and adjust care plans with education and discharge planning; coordinate with the care team.
  • Deliver care that respects patient autonomy, dignity and rights.
  • Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments per policy.
  • Evaluate progress toward patient outcomes.

  • Assumes responsibility for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the identified practice setting.
  • Performs assessment and analyzes patient problems and conditions using critical thinking skills to determine need for standard, urgent or emergent interventions.
  • Implements and/or modifies plan of care using assessment data, standards of care and evidence based practice inclusive of nursing care coordination, appropriate patient and family education, and discharge planning. Facilitates interdisciplinary partnership in patient care.
  • Integrates ethical provisions in nursing practice and delivers care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity and rights.
  • Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Evaluates progress towards attainment of desired patient outcomes.

Pay Range

$37.20 - $37.20 /hour
