A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Elmhurst Main Hospital. This part-time position requires 24 hours a week on night shifts, providing critical nursing care and working collaboratively with healthcare teams. Ideal candidates will have relevant nursing degrees, certification, and at least a year of experience in emergency settings, along with a commitment to community health and quality care.
Hourly Pay Range:
$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
Position: RN - Emergency Department
Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital
Part Time: 24 hours/week
Hours: Nights 7:00pm-7:00am with every third weekend and rotating holidays
What you will need:
Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing
Required Education, Skills and/or Experience:
Requires 1+ years' experience in the emergency department unit
Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
Note: If the highest degree is an Associate Degree, the candidate must obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within five years of starting the position.
Required License and/or Certification:
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three months of start date
Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within three months of start date
Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within three months of start date
What you will do:
Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and procedures. Uses critical thinking skills to assess patients, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and record observations. Delegates appropriate tasks to staff and collaborates as a team member to meet unit goals.
