Job summary

Jefferson Health, Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient- and family-centered care using the nursing process, with a focus on safety, education, and coordination of care.

The ideal candidate will hold a specialized nursing diploma, with a BSN strongly preferred within three years of hire, and prior RN experience in an acute care setting. Licensure in PA and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Bachelor’s Degree BSN or completion of BSN within 3 years of hire strongly preferred.
• Previous experience as an RN in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• BLS - Basic Life Support required; RN licensed in PA state.

Responsibilities

• Integrates Evidence-Based Practice, clinical expertise, patient and family preferences and cultural values for delivery of optimal healthcare.
• Partners with patients and their family in identifying learning needs and provides education in useful, understandable ways.
• Minimizes risk by following established nursing practices and protocols and uses information technology to communicate and mitigate error.
• Uses data to monitor outcomes and participates in quality improvement to enhance patient care.
