Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in the appropriate state.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient appropriately based on medical condition.
• Administers medications as prescribed.
• Provides care suitable to patient age and condition including basic self-care.
• Teaches patient/family with identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness.
• Uses nursing knowledge to perform treatments and services.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to provide patient care.
• Assists physicians with procedures requiring technical skills.
• Addresses psychosocial needs of patients and families and coordinates discharge planning.
• Demonstrates cost-effective practice and prudent use of supplies.
• Prioritizes patient care effectively and safely.
• Promotes patient safety and lifelong learning in nursing.
