Qualifications

Position Overview

Assists physicians during electrophysiology (EP) procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, radiofrequency ablation, and other invasive cardiac and vascular procedures by operating electrophysiology recording equipment, hemodynamic monitoring computers, and/or scrubbing. Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, License, or Certification

Required:

1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations
3. Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)

Preferred:

1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
3. Two (2) years of experience in critical care, electrophysiology, or an Interventional Catheterization Laboratory
4. Additional Life Support credentials (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP) or other clinical specialty certifications
5. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
