Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking an experienced tele-nurse to provide remote ICU care focusing on early intervention for critically ill adults across multiple ICUs. You will use the nursing process to deliver remote or direct patient care, coordinate care, and serve as a role model in clinical practice and professional development.

You will work one ICU shift per schedule to maintain clinical knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

• RN program completion is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.

Overview

As part of a collaborative team, provides tele-nursing care focusing on early intervention to a diverse population of critically ill adults across multiple ICUs. Accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide remote or direct patient care, coordinate the provision of care and serve as a role model in clinical practice and professional development. Blends caring, compassion, knowledge and integrity to provide safe, quality care that preserves patient autonomy, dignity and rights. Will work one ICU shift per schedule in ICU to maintain clinical knowledge and skills. Performs other duties as assigned.

Specifications

Experience

• 5 years experience in adult ICU setting
• 10 years experience in adult ICU setting; eICU experience

Education

• Completion of RN program
• BSN

Training

• Successful completion of critical care course or equivalent
• Successful completion of critical care course or equivalent

Special Skills

• Computer literacy; Effective communication, organizational, and collaboration skills; strong critical thinking and problem solving skills; Capability of making rapid and clinically accurate decisions based on best practice and evidence based practice; EKG Rhythm Interpretation.

Licensure

• RN; BLS, ACLS Certification within 14 days of hire; CCRN (Certified Critical Care Nurse) or CCRNe credential must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
