Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice
• Recent acute care or LTC experience
• Experience in patient/family/staff education
• CPR Instructor certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical competency assessment and training needs.
• Provide education on clinical skills, critical thinking, and teamwork.
• Participate in interview and selection of clinical staff.
• Complete initial competency assessment during orientation and annually.
• Oversee preceptor program and train new partners using train-the-trainer methods.
• Conduct competency assessments based on patient needs and acuity.
• Collaborate with DHS to plan education and follow-up.
• Communicate with unit managers about orientation and learning needs.
