Job summary

Berlin Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a part-time RN Educator to lead education programs for nursing staff in a 128-bed sub-acute and long-term care setting in New Jersey. The role emphasizes orientation, ongoing training, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement collaboration.

The ideal candidate holds a New Jersey RN license, a nursing degree is preferred, and at least five years of nursing experience with two years in supervision.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active RN license in New Jersey.
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience.
• At least two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or related healthcare setting.
• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for nursing staff to ensure clinical competence and regulatory compliance.
• Provide orientation and onboarding education for new nursing employees.
• Conduct ongoing in-service training on clinical skills, policies, procedures, and best practices in resident care.
• Assess staff learning needs and develop targeted training programs to address knowledge gaps.
• Monitor and evaluate staff competency and provide coaching or remediation as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory survey preparedness.
• Maintain accurate documentation of training, competencies, and educational activities.
• Utilize PCC (PointClickCare) systems to support documentation, training, and reporting needs.
• Support a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and clinical excellence across the nursing team.
