Elderwood at Grand Island is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse who blends clinical education with active nursing practice, leading orientation, competency development, and mentorship while remaining connected to resident care as a cart nurse.

The RN Educator role combines clinical education with direct patient care, includes IV-certification, BLS, EMR support, and Nursing Assistant Training activities, and collaborates with nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Current license and registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• At least one year of experience in a long-term healthcare facility.
• Experience providing in-service education or demonstrated skill in clinical teaching.
• Ability to manage education, orientation, competency, compliance, and direct-care responsibilities.
• Willingness to accept a resident assignment as cart nurse when needed.

Responsabilités

• Plan and coordinate general orientation with leaders.
• Lead licensed-nurse, CNA, and Support Aide orientation.
• Coordinate IV-certification programming.
• Deliver nursing education and competency testing.
• Accept cart-nurse assignments and provide direct care.
