Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This seasonal 13-week contract involves 12-hour shifts, including days and 7p–7a nights with a 3-night rotation per week; a $1500 completion bonus is offered.

Join a facility with level three trauma designation work and a strong EMS partnership. Expect patient care across all ages and acuities, with on-call and fast-track opportunities as part of a dynamic ED team.

Qualifications

• RN with license to practice in Texas.
• 2 years of RN experience in Emergency nursing.
• BLS, ENPC and TNCC certifications required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care and documentation for ED patients.
• Triage and route to appropriate care areas; participate in Express/fast track.
• Staff rotation across ED areas based on experience and training.

Currently seeking Level three Trauma designation, Primary Stroke Center, Primary Chest Pain Center, wonderful EMS partnership, Radiology with CT and Sono within ED, Self-Scheduling with voluntary on call, Certified Emergency Nurse fees paid, Evidence Based Practice and Process Improvement projects ongoing, Trauma training, Express Care/fast track with lower acuity/clinic type patients, Staff rotate to various areas based on experience and training.
